Hover Tank Missiles Hit the PlayStation Home Central Plaza

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves now live on PlayStation Home

Following on from the release of the critically acclaimed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, a themed space based on the game has been developed by Outso Ltd and is available on PlayStation Home.

Within the space you have access to three mini-games; Mask Mayhem, Torch Race and Fortunate Thieves. Mask Mayhem will have you searching the village to assemble the scattered remnants of an ancient Ganesh mask (when you complete this game the mask will be in your wardrobe!). Make sure to get on the leaderboard with the torch race – be the quickest amongst your friends! Fortunate Thieves is a full blown strategy card game that will have you hooked. Jack Buser, Director of PlayStation Home, talks about the new Uncharted 2: Among Thieves Home space. As Jack Buser explains the setting is a breathtaking Nepalese market square where you can access several mini-games and rewards:

‘This space is like a mini MMO, there are tons of things to do inside this space’ Jack Buser goes on to say - ‘The crown jewel of this space is a full blown card battle game representing the Uncharted universe. This truly is a full on game, the kind of game you can even expect to be sold in the PSN Store but right here in PlayStation Home, ready to play’.

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves will be released on PlayStation Home on Friday 23rd October 2009.

Jon Burgerman range now available in PlayStation Home

New range of Jon Burgerman clothing has been released in PlayStation Home. The very talented artist Jon Burgerman has worked together with Lockwood Publishing Ltd to design a range of animated hoodies and glow in the dark sneakers. When visiting the Threads II shop in the in PlayStation Home you’ll find that there’s a section dedicated to Jon Burgerman.

The latest release also includes the long awaited alternative clothing range with body art – that would be Tattoos! For you female avatars out there why not show off your butterfly or star tattoo with a cropped shirt. Or check out the male range which includes a vest with a tribal tattoo or a hoodie with a Maori inspired tattoo. Check out the video below to get a taste of what there is to top up your wardrobe!

New items to buy in PlayStation home include animated t-shirts with city scrolling around your stomach and more of the very popular equalizer t-shirts, even long sleeved once. These t-shirts come in both the male and female collection. This most recent release of items also include the first ever glow sticks in Home. Mixm8 – The New Virtual World for Music Fans

Mixm8is an online music community and event based virtual world coming soon. You will be able to follow your favourite music artists and bands - any genre!

Looks a little Dance Music at the moment but this will change as more music genres get involved. You can dress up (anything goes!) make friends, make enemies, flirt, dance and have a laugh all inside a virtual club or event space.

Your music life may have only previously consisted of a personal MP3 player, now you have the chance to become part of your favourite bands/artists lives in on-line virtual world built just for you! Take on the role of an event organiser, bouncer (deny entry for no good reason, take bribes to let other in), or bar tender etc…. partying through the night with no complaints from the neighbours!
