Senior Programmer

Outso Ltd one of the market leaders in 3D Virtual Worlds on consoles is now looking for talented, self-motivated individuals as the Studio wishes to build on the considerable success it is enjoying. Outso offers a fantastic working environment, with a great team and the opportunity to work on some of the highest profile IP’s in the games world in addition to a number of ground breaking internal projects.

Outso is currently looking for an experienced programmer to join its development team. The ideal candidate would have a background in the games industry or a demonstrable interest and familiarity of games and their development techniques.

Required Skills:

  • 2+ years of experience programming in industry
  • A good degree 2:1 or above (or equivalent experience) in computer science, Maths or another related subject
  • Good A-Level and GCSE grades in Maths and/or physics.
  • An understanding of the challenges and techniques involved in programming real-time and turn based networked games
  • The ability to work independently, prioritising different tasks to achieve the project goals
  • Perform well under deadline pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Work well in a team
  • Good time management skills

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with Lua
  • Previous experience of working with SCRUM is a bonus
  • Knowledge of MEL Scripting/ Max Scripting
