Leaderboards for use with the interactive mini-games in Home. They promote an element of competition within the space with players competing to get on the Leaderboards. There are numerous ways of displaying the score, either as absolute top scores, or your score in relation to your friends list etc.
Mini-games are specifically developed to complement the intellectual property that the space is based on. They provide a focal point of interactivity for each space. Currently it is a prerequisite that all Home spaces have an interactive element to them.
Import Leaderboards created by players from a PS3 box or on-line title or from similar real world events. We have the technology to draw on statistics not necessary created in Home and display them within Home, thus further reinforcing the link with the main IP. Again this acts as a central point for the community to gather and analyse the best and current results.
Meta-gaming, the ability to create MMO style quests within the space to build community and continually attract users back into the space. This can be achieved by adding a layer of meta-gaming taking the form of mini-games, community activities and quest objectives. These serve to create a multi-layered experience that not only encourages visitors to return to the space again and again as they strive to complete every activity and collect every achievement but also to encourage a higher level of social interaction between visitors.
Community Management Tools are being developed for organising meta-gaming, events within the space etc. We will provide a simple web interface that will allow any community manager to allow have full control of all Meta-Gaming, events, tournaments and remove the need for new build to be published fortnightly by HPG. Analytics provided by a high end Home space solution will also allow community managers to track what is working and what isn’t in the and react to this data accordingly, thus providing a competitive edge.
